Social Companionship Service
To most “There is no place like home”, it’s the place we feel we can relax, be ourselves, it’s the place that holds most of our memories about ourselves and fellow family members. But circumstances do arise and lifestyles change and you may find yourself needing support to live independently. Leaving behind your home to move into somewhere new can be a daunting process and hard to let go.
Angel Heart’s Social Companionship Service provides a professionally trained carer to accompany and support you to live your life independently. It maybe that you require company or re-assurance that someone is there to check you are comfortable and safe. The carer can carry out security checks before you go to sleep. The carer can accompany you on day trips. The carer may assist it meal preparation by cutting up vegetables for you, but you would be the one cooking the meal. The service is very individual.
We often find spouses or family members would like a break for a few hours or the whole day and they would like us to come and sit with their husband, wife or family member.
Here are a few examples we currently service:
• Watch television, read books
• Look at family albums
• Go for short walks
• Have lunch in the garden
• Doctors appointments
• Daily reminders, prompts
• Visit to Art Gallery / restaurant
